For The Colorado Springs Gazette’s 2023 Holiday Guide, I had the opportunity to combine my skills as an illustrator and designer. All the illustrations within the snowglobe on the cover are custom, created using Adobe Illustrator. The Hannukiah lamp, Kwanza lamp and Christmas star on the Deck the Halls section cover are also custom illustrations.
I wanted to show the beauty of Colorado Springs and the wonder and joy of the holiday season. Combining the illustrative elements with the gold snowflakes and other gold line art illustrations helped bring sophistication to the design, along with the calligraphic typeface on the cover.
